Hey there! I’m Ilia Usmanov, the face behind The Adventurous Man blog.
I’m an aspiring photographer, traveller and an adventure junkie.
Ever since I was a kid, I enjoyed going on road trips and adventures, writing and telling stories. Growing up in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan to be exact, I used to love going hiking in the mountains and going exploring in the country side. Even after my move to Canada, my passion for learning new things about new places remained. Because of it, I have taken many trips and have explored a huge chunk of Eastern Canada and USA throughout my teenage years, which only fuelled my passion for adventure even more.
In late 2015, I decided that it was time to go out and explore more of the world. I packed an old camera, bought a one way ticket and began the biggest adventure of my life. Wanting to document my experiences, I started this blog and a YouTube channel.
I like to travel light and solo. Staying in places long enough to experience and understand the local culture,while exploring the sights.
